Refund and Returns Policy

Effective Date: November 2025

1. Overview

At Dove Francaise University, doing business as DFICU Universities (“DFICU,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we strive to ensure transparency, fairness, and student satisfaction in all financial transactions. This Return and Refund Policy explains the terms under which tuition, fees, and other payments may be refunded or credited.

By enrolling in our courses, programs, or services, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refund eligibility varies depending on the type of payment and service purchased. The following general rules apply:

a. Tuition and Academic Program Fees

  • Full Refund: A full refund of tuition and fees will be issued if you withdraw before the first day of classes for the term in which you are enrolled.
  • Partial Refund: A partial refund may be granted if withdrawal occurs within the official add/drop period as defined by the university’s academic calendar.
  • No Refund: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals or cancellations after the add/drop period unless otherwise required by law or approved by the university under exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, military service).

b. Online Courses and Digital Products

  • Refunds for online courses, certifications, or downloadable materials will only be issued if the request is made within 7 days of purchase and the course has not been accessed or completed.
  • Once course materials are accessed, viewed, or downloaded, no refund will be granted.

c. Application Fees and Administrative Charges

  • Non-refundable. Application, registration, technology, and administrative fees are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances.

d. Events, Workshops, and Conferences

  • Full refunds may be issued if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to the event start date.
  • No refunds are provided for cancellations made within 14 days of the event, or for non-attendance.

3. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a written request via email to finance@dfuniversity.org or through your Student Account Portal.
  2. Include:
    • Full name and student ID
    • Course or service purchased
    • Date of payment
    • Reason for refund request
  3. The Finance Office will review your request within 10–15 business days.
  4. Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment within 7–10 business days after approval.

4. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Withdrawal due to disciplinary action or academic dismissal
  • Failure to complete course requirements or attend classes
  • Incomplete or inaccurate refund request documentation
  • Delays or inability to access online materials due to user-side technical issues

5. Refund Exceptions

Refunds may be granted outside the standard policy under exceptional conditions, including:

  • Verified medical emergencies
  • Military deployment orders
  • Course cancellation by the university
    Requests for exceptions must include appropriate documentation and will be reviewed by the Office of Student Accounts on a case-by-case basis.

6. International Payments

For international students, refunds will be processed in the same currency and method used for the original payment. DFICU is not responsible for fluctuations in exchange rates, transfer fees, or international banking delays.

7. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify or update this Return and Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our official website, and the “Effective Date” will be updated accordingly. We encourage students to review this policy periodically.
